The Story Behind Praguery
I was visiting London on a trip when one day, I saw a crepe stand. I could smell the sweet flavours as they wafted through the air. I was so intrigued by the crepe maker's freedom and independence he had while serving so much happiness to his customers. At that moment, I realized I craved that and told myself I was going to start a crepe stand when I got back to Canada.
Shortly after my trip to London, I visited my home city of Prague. On my first night in the city, I turned down the wrong street and stumbled upon this little shop that served ice cream combined with Prague’s famous dessert —chimney cakes. At that moment, that was it! It was like fireworks went off in my brain. The holy grail of taste: ice cream and soft, doughy, caramelized pastry that was both fluffy and crunchy. Wow!! It was a match made in heaven.
Today, the star attraction of Praguery is our hand-rolled chimney cakes served with delectable flavours of ice cream. Handrolled Chimney Cake
Our chimney cakes and cones are made from hand-crafted and rolled sweet dough that is made fresh daily. The chimney cakes and cones are baked on demand in a rotisserie oven until golden brown and ready to be filled with our delicious ice cream and housemade toppings or simply savoured plain alongside your favourite cup of coffee.
From real Ingredients
We love using fresh fruits and take pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients from local producers such as BC strawberries which we use in our delicious strawberry sauce. Most of our toppings and fillings are made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients and without preservatives. We carefully select our suppliers to ensure all ingredients are not only fresh but that the raw ingredients are sourced directly from their origin.
Committed to Craft
We have perfected our soft-serve ice cream by carefully crafting it from scratch using milk sourced from a local dairy farm in British Columbia. It is enhanced with premium ingredients from Italy and Belgium to create our signature rich flavour and creamy texture complemented by delectable sauces that elevate every bite.
