The Story Behind The Praguery
Our story starts in Prague, where our founder, Jaroslav Mestka, watched tourists and locals enjoy traditional Czech street food. Inspired by their pleasure, his desire to put Czech food on the culinary map in Vancouver and his love for memorable food, The Praguery was born in 2016.
Jaroslav’s passion for food has inspired him to travel the world to educate himself on different traditions and recipes. In 2022, Jaroslav travelled to Bologna, Italy to immerse himself in the world of ice cream making. He knew if he wanted Praguery’s ice cream to stand out in Vancouver it was important to learn from the best. Since then, Jaroslav has perfected Praguery’s soft-serve ice cream making it one of the best in the city.

Our chimney cakes and cones are made from hand-crafted and rolled sweet dough that is made fresh daily. The chimney cakes and cones are baked on demand in a rotisserie oven until golden brown and ready to be filled with our delicious ice cream and housemade toppings or simply savoured plain alongside your favourite cup of coffee.
FROM REAL INGREDIENTS
We love using fresh fruits and take pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients from local producers such as BC strawberries which we use in our delicious strawberry sauce. Most of our toppings and fillings are made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients and without preservatives. We carefully select our suppliers to ensure all ingredients are not only fresh but that the raw ingredients are sourced directly from their origin.
COMMITTED TO CRAFT
We have perfected our soft-serve ice cream by carefully crafting it from scratch using milk sourced from a local dairy farm in British Columbia. The organic milk is enhanced with premium ingredients from Italy and Belgium to create our signature rich flavour and creamy texture complemented by delectable sauces that elevate every bite.
